curated by Steinway Artist and Ryde resident James Longfordfollowing their concerts in Freshwater and Bembridge in previous years, James brings his Galos Piano Trio back to the IslandProgramme to be announced soonThe Galos Piano Trio is a unique group bonded through music-making and friendship that spans three decadesFelicity Broome-Skelton, Heidi Parsons and James Longford's engaging performances have taken them around the world, from Russia to West Africa, the Caribbean to the Arctic Circle, and throughout the UK and Europe. Highlights include acclaimed performances at the St. Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Festival, St. David's Cathedral, the London Piano Trio Festival and at the bicentenary celebrations of William Sterndale Bennett at Conway Hall. They have featured on BBC Radio 3's In Tune and have inspired many young composers and players with workshops as Ensemble in Residence for Young Music Makers of Dyfed. They are passionate about the piano trio genre, keeping great British music alive and exploring music by women composers.
