Two new plays that are heading for the Brighton Fringe, final previews before they head down south! We'll have:WHEN GARY LEFT ANNIE (ALMOST) written and performed by Helen Pain and Paul Richards
It started with an offer of a gherkin on a bench during lunchtime, it ended with a relationship that dragged well beyond its sell-by date. Gary adores Annie but he absolutely has to leave her. Annie "quite likes" Gary but really shouldn't have ever entered a relationship with him in the first place. It's obvious to everyone that they need to part ways, but sometimes real life just gets in the way; why would you dump somebody you're still so, well, 'comfortable' with? A comedic exploration of relationships, companionships and the little things that keep couples together...and the really annoying things that drive them apart!and then...PHYSICAL MEDIA written by Paul Richards, directed by Izzy Rees, performed by Alex Machell and Nicole Horst
Meet Tony; he's struggling - but he has amazing music taste. Meet Amelia; she's over here from America for a meeting but really just wants to be in a Richard Curtis movie...welcome to the last DVD and CD shop in town, a warm nod back to the pre-digital age! A brand new, quirky comedy play about loneliness, missed opportunities, and unexpected friendships...but let's be honest, it's mostly about Britpop music and why you should actually still own physical things. Both plays are about an hour, with a short interval in between. One ticket covers both shows!
