The Sounds Mad Society

Everybody knows somebody who starts a story with "This is going to sound mad, but..." and then stops. The Sounds Mad Society is the room where they finish it.A live host presents six cases: ordinary people who experienced something they could not explain, and whose real trouble began when they tried to tell somebody. A night carer who worked out what the residents on her ward were seeing. A skint twenty-four-year-old renting a cheap room from a widow with laminated house rules. A driving instructor who loses an hour and forty minutes on a dark country road and comes back with a learner who can suddenly reverse bay park. An air traffic controller whose evidence was collected, one morning, by two very polite men in suits.
Every name and place is bleeped out. Every voice is disguised. There are six chairs on stage and only five voices - and the sixth stays empty until the host finally sits in it and tells his own.Darkly funny in places, quietly devastating in others. This is the Society's first ever gathering, and every audience member leaves a member: with a numbered card, and a phrase to use on somebody else.
