The Gregynog Young Musician Competition has become a prestigious event.
Entrants must be aged 18 or under and have reached Grade 8 or equivalent on any orchestral, brass band or percussion instrument.
Up to 18 contestants are selected to perform in the semi-finals in front of a panel of specialist adjudicators. This takes place during the daytime, 10.00am - 4.00pm on Saturday, October 31st. in the Music Room at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, SY3 7BA. The audience have complete access to come and go as they please.
Five winners will be chosen to perform in the Finalists' Concert in the evening starting at 7.00pm. The winners compete for the title of Gregynog Young Musician of the Year.
