Bowland Lecture

Join us for this popular, annual lecture, highlighting Bowland's fascinating heritage.This year's lecture will be delivered by Susan Harrison, Curator of Collections with English Heritage.Susan's talk will be about Sawley Abbey, a Cistercian Abbey founded in 1146, including its history and archaeological finds.Once again, the lecture will take place in the lovely surroundings of the Tithe Barn at Browsholme Hall.All proceeds will go to support local charities, Slaidburn Archive and Champion Bowland.Pay bar open from 7pm.Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.For more information, please email sandra.silk@lancashire.gov.ukAfter booking, full details will be circulated approximately one week prior to the event.
