Wish You Were Here - A Tetrapak Printing Workshop

Messums Creatives, in continued partnership with the Seagull Theatre, invite you to a free tetra pak printmaking workshop. Create a print to keep, and another to support future creative projects through sales that help sustain the ongoing work of both organisations. By signing up, participants agree to contribute work for fundraising and exhibition purposes.Tetrapak printing is a fun and easy to use print form that repurposes cartons and produces amazing effects direct from your drawings.
Using the insides of cartons, you will scratch out your drawing using an etching tool, cut out shapes or make textures with different tapes to create an original design.Using the seaside setting of Lowestoft and the sense of holiday fun we will be creating a postcard design to produce a tetrapak print. We will be looking at postcard designs from past and present. We will explore the different elements such as greetings and the stamp design to make the designs more authentic.We will produce a number of prints using different colours and chine collee to highlight different aspects of your design.
