EVENT COPY: Irene Serra's ISQ is one of London's most distinctive yet under-the-radar contemporary music projects. For more than two decades, the Italian-born, UK-based vocalist and songwriter has blended sophisticated jazz, alternative pop and atmospheric soundscapes into music of striking emotional depth. Joined by musicians whose credits include the Neil Cowley Trio, Andy Sheppard and Cinematic Orchestra, ISQ returns in 2026 with its fifth album, The Silence is Deafening — darker and more guitar-driven, described as "noir jazz meets Massive Attack". The album explores women's lives, resilience and generational legacy, inspired by Serra's mother's journey from Sicily to Copenhagen.
