Wakefield District Heritage Celebration Event 2026

As part of Wakefield Councils Our Heritage, Our Stories, we are hosting a celebration of Wakefield District's rich and diverse heritage with Nostell National Trust and the Wakefield District Heritage Network. This day-long event will bring together the people and organisations who care most about our districts rich and diverse heritage. Its a chance to connect, share ideas, and celebrate the incredible work happening across our communities. Whether youre looking to showcase your work, build new partnerships, or simply be inspired, the day will offer:Opportunities to connect with local and national heritage organisations
An inspiring programme of talks about recent heritage work in the district (speakers to be announced in due course)
Space to share and find out about heritage projects happening in different parts of the district
A chance to celebrate and strengthen our collective heritage communityThe team at National Trust - Nostell will also be offering special tours for delegates as part of the day. The event will start at 9.30am and finish around 4pm.
