A Doll's House

Henrik Ibsen's legendary tale of a woman waking up to the reality of her marriage receives a breathtaking update in this acclaimed new version by Amy Herzog.

Stripping away the excess to reveal the raw, urgent heart of Nora Helmer's struggle, this fresh adaptation makes a 19th-century feminist classic feel like it was written yesterday. When this version debuted on Broadway, it was hailed as a revelation.

Herzog's lean, muscular adaptation strips away the Victorian clutter to focus on the psychological chess match between Nora Helmer and the society that seeks to cage her.

As Nora's "perfect" life begins to unravel under the weight of a long-held secret, the play builds to one of the most famous-and shocking-conclusions in theatrical history.

This is A Doll's House for the 21st century: intimate, tense, and devastatingly relevant.
