Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

This bold, atmospheric retelling of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight fuses medieval myth with a striking contemporary soundscape.
A haunting medieval tale, the story emerges from the legends of King Arthur, blending myth, magic, and moral trial. Written by the mysterious Gawain Poet, it explores honour, temptation, and the fragile nature of human courage.
Reimagined through droning hurdy-gurdy and immersive synths, folk artist and electronic musician Oliver Cross shapes the musical world with 1980s-inspired synths and resonant hurdy-gurdy, this ancient story pulses with new, otherworldly life.
Alongside him, storyteller Jason Buck brings the tale vividly to life, his dynamic narration weaving seamlessly through shifting textures of sound.
