Hothfield to Little Chart Walk

Join us on Wednesday 21 October 2026 for a scenic weekday walk through the beautiful Hothfield Heathland Nature Reserve and the surrounding Kent countryside. Starting from the nature reserve, well head towards Little Chart, following sections of the Stour Valley Walk and taking in the peaceful fields and rural landscapes along the way.
The route offers a lovely mix of open heathland, countryside paths and quiet village scenery, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the natural surroundings and discover this special corner of Kent. Hothfield Heathland is one of Kents remaining areas of lowland heath, providing an important habitat for a variety of wildlife.
As we make our way back towards the nature reserve, well have time to enjoy the changing scenery and the tranquillity of the landscape. While the Highland cattle are no longer present, the heathland remains a great place to look out for wildlife and enjoy a peaceful walk through one of Kents distinctive natural landscapes.
