Ely Driving for Change

Driving for Change is coming to Hereford this October.Delivered by The ELY Memorial Fund in partnership with Minerva Elite Performance and NMITE, this powerful, hands-on programme is designed to help young drivers build confidence, reduce risk and stay safe on the road.Created in response to the real dangers faced by young drivers, this interactive event goes beyond theory - giving participants practical skills they can apply immediately in real-world situations.Young people aged 17-25 are invited to join us on 26 October at The Courtyard, Hereford or 28, 29 or 30 October at NMITE's Skylon Campus, Hereford.The session will include:Navigating rural road risks, including blind bends, changing surfaces and unexpected hazards
Driving safely in changing weather conditions such as fog, ice and floods
Understanding your car's essential safety tools and how to use them
Learning how to respond to breakdowns and safely evacuate a vehicleParticipants will take part in short, scenario-based workshops designed to be engaging, practical and memorable.Each attendee will also receive safety resources and CPD points as part of the programme.Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.
