After only 5 days of intensive rehearsals for the incredible youth cast, crew & creative team members, Limelight Performers are thrilled to be heading to the Seckford Theatre to perform Sister Act Jr!When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.Based on the hit film of the same name, Sister Act JR. features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, a book by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner, and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane. The show opened on the West End in 2009, and a revised adaptation opened on Broadway in 2011 which received multiple Tony nominations, including Best Musical.Limelight Performers are a registered charity, Number 1192522Find them on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Spotify & morewww.limelightperformers.co.ukSISTER ACT JR
