Gelli Plate Printing
A one day creative introduction to the versatile Gelli Printing Process. We will cover printing with natural forms, including leaves, flowers and grasses; techniques for making and printing with stencils on the gelli plate; Experimental mark-making, using various tools on the gelli plate and colour mixing and choosing your colour palette with acrylic paints. All materials will be supplied.
Julie Stephen is a Dumfriesshire based artist and printmaker who works as a freelance workshop leader for a variety of organisations including Access Art and Outpost Arts. She has developed a specialist knowledge of gelli plate techniques and her workshops are enjoyable and relaxed.
Workshop starts 9.45 am and finishes by 4.00 pm.
Tea and coffee are supplied and lunch is available to buy from the cafe on Saturday
