Anna Mudeka

After 10 years, The Anna Mudeka Band are coming back together for one very special, one-off performance - celebrating the life and legacy of acclaimed music producer John Vigar.John played a hugely important role in Anna Mudeka’s musical journey.

Together, they created some of the band’s most iconic work, including the Side of the Angles single, Mauya EP and Dendende album, released in 2015 through John’s Tontena Music label.

Anna continued working closely with John, with her latest album, Ruvimbo, completed shortly before his passing in March 2026.This special reunion brings together original band members Tom, Justin, Jose and Mogali, alongside Jez on guitar and a selection of specially invited guests.Anna Mudeka led the band for seven years, touring nationally and locally before pursuing her passion for theatre in 2015.

From 2018 to 2025, she produced and toured two successful theatre productions, while continuing to develop her music as a solo artist.Now, Anna felt the time was right to bring the band together once again - to thank John for his belief, passion and contribution to their music, and to celebrate the extraordinary legacy he leaves behind.Expect the unmistakable sunshine music that Anna Mudeka and the band are loved for: an exhilarating fusion of African rhythms, powerful vocals, infectious energy and plenty of dancing.Come ready to sing, dance and celebrate.
