Silent Reading Group with Publishing Scotland and UNESCO Edinburgh City of LiteratureLast Monday of every month, 6.00pm – 8.00pm BSTFruitmarket, Market Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1DFBooking is now open for 2026 Silent Reading Group event, taking place at the Fruitmarket on the last Monday of each month.The Silent Reading Group events are hosted by Publishing Scotland, in association with UNESCO Edinburgh City of Literature.Enjoy the time and space to read whatever you like in a convivial and welcoming atmosphere alongside other friendly bookworms.Each month we have a guest author join us for a reading and book signing – for our September event, our guest author will be novelist Olga Wojtas, who will read from her novel, Miss Blaine’s Prefect and the Parcel of Rogues.Event Schedule
6pm – 6.15pm: Welcome
6.15pm – 7.15pm: Introduction and Silent Reading
7.15pm – 7.30pm: Guest author talk / Reading
7.30pm – 8.00pm: Book Chat / Book Buying / Author SigningBring your own book, buy a book from the Fruitmarket bookshop, or take a book from the UNESCO Edinburgh City of Literature book box.Ticket Price
