A Musical Confidence Workshop at Paignton LibraryThis workshop is for anyone who loves music but has never quite believed it was for them.Maybe you were told as a child that you couldn't sing, or that you were tone deaf; or were forced to play an instrument that you simply didn't enjoy. Perhaps you used to play an instrument years ago but drifted away from it. Maybe you've simply always wanted to try but haven't known how to begin. Whatever your story, this session is designed to meet you exactly where you are.
Using a variety of different instruments and guided by gentle, playful exercises, we'll explore what it means to make music together without judgement, without pressure, and without needing to get anything right. We all have music within us - sometimes it just takes a different approach to connect with it.No musical experience needed. Just curiosity.Lyndon Forster is a percussionist and handpan player with over 25 years of experience. He is a co-founder of We Need Music CIC, a Torbay based community interest company dedicated to making meaningful music experiences accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. Lyndon has spent years helping people of all abilities discover that music, and the confidence to make it, is already within them.
