Sholto Plays David Axelrod

Gaining recognition for blending jazz, rock, soul, and classical influences into lush, cinematic compositions, Axelrod transformed the musical landscape.A visionary composer, producer, and arranger, his genre-defying work not only shaped the music of artists such as Lou Rawls and The Electric Prunes, it also became a treasure trove for hip-hop artists, with his work sampled by Dr.

Dre, DJ Shadow, and many more.Backed by tastemakers including Gilles Peterson, Deb Grant, Jyoty and Tony Minvielle, jazz composer and pianist, SHOLTO, brings Axelrod's enduring legacy to life onstage. One of the most exciting new voices in UK Jazz, his own blend of jazz, soul, kraut, and 60s & 70s soundtracks earmarking him as the best successor.
