Caro is an author and columnist. Her most recent memoir, Unschooled, examined the challenges and joys of raising children who do not fit into the school system. Her first memoir, Twelve Moons, was published after she was named BBC Countryfile's New Nature Writer of the Year. Caro has a monthly column with Psychologies magazine and is currently writing her third book. Her words explore life on the edge, making time to write and revealing the woman behind the mother. She lives with her four daughters in Glasgow and is a full time single parent carer.
