The Molesey Musical Theatre Production of Return to the Forbidden Planettakes place at the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, Walton-on-Thames between Wednesday 13 and Saturday 16 May 2025. Bob Carlton's Return to the Forbidden Planet is a jukebox musical that blends 1950's sci-fi and rock 'n' roll with Shakespeare's play 'The Tempest'.The story follows Captain Tempest and his spaceship crew, who crash-land on the mysterious planet D'Illyria after getting caught in a storm. They find the planet is inhabited by Dr. Prospero, his daughter Miranda and a robot named Ariel. The show is a high-energy, family-friendly and often comedic adventure that incorporates 1950's and 1960's rock hits such as 'Great Balls of Fire', 'Good Vibrations and many more!!This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International
