6.1 Theatre Studies A Level Devised Productions

The first year of the A Level Theatre Studies course concludes with students staging an adaptation of a classic text, re-imagined through the lens of a chosen theatrical practitioner.

Last years cohort impressed audiences with bold reinterpretations: Mother Courage, The Birthday Party, The Dolls House and The Maids were explored through the techniques of the theatrical innovators such as PunchDrunk Theatre Company and Forced Entertainment.We look forward with anticipation to what this years students will devise.

Whatever combinations they select, their work is sure to be imaginative and striking, showcasing their developing confidence and rapidly expanding skill set.
