Eums Summer Concert 2026

Join Edinburgh University Music Societys Symphony, Sinfonia and Chorus for an evening of bold, atmospheric and beautifully expressive music.The programme features the vivid and characterful Pictures at an Exhibition (Ravel/Mussorgsky), performed by the Symphony orchestra.This is followed by Sibeliuss Finlandia and Faurs Cantique de Jean Racine, performed by Sinfonia and Chorus, bringing a contrast in both scale and atmosphere.The Chorus continues with two stunning works by Eric Whitacre, Lux Aurumque and Sleep.Also on the programme is the iconic Prelude to Tristan und Isolde by Wagner, performed by Sinfonia and known for its sweeping emotion and rich, immersive sound.Conducted by Monty Milner and William Conway, this concert showcases the range of talent across Edinburgh University Music Societys three ensembles, culminating in a vibrant end-of-year performance that brings the academic year to a close in style.
