Glasgow Shanty Day Evening Concert

This concert is part of the 8th annual Glasgow Shanty Day 2026. It follows immediately on from the free section of the day and will include an optional finger food buffet, and a talk by Shanty Queen , Joss Cameron "A Deep Dive Into Sea Shanties" as she uncovers the fascinating world of sea shanties, discover the origins of these iconic working songs, explore their vital role aboard sailing ships and learn about sailors whose voices echoed across the worlds oceans.
The concert will feature: Tripple, Morgan's Men, Muldoon's Picnic, The Salty Scrimshaws, The Sea Word as well as those members of the Friday Workshop brave enough to take the stage to showcase what they learned.
After the concert there will be a singaround where we will invite you to be a shanty(wo)man for a song.
