Songs of the Giants

Join Joseph Scrobb, Ellen Purce and Emma Plover for an evening of songs and stories celebrating the giants of Shropshire folklore and the ways they have shaped the local landscape. Discover the mythology behind The Little Book of Shropshire Giants, a new art book written and illsutrated by Joseph Scrobb, to be hand printed and crafted in a limited number of unique editions. The event will be the first opportunity to see and purchase a copy of the book. The main performance will combine singing, story-telling and music, weaving together a narrative that dispels the traditional stereotype of the monstrous giant, and instead offers a glimpse into a heritage of powerful, elemental, emotive beings whose spirits still reside in the land around us and can inspire us to shape our world for the better.Schedule:7:00pm - Arrival
