Join us for a special evening at Burnley Central Library this World Book Night.Step into the library after hours and spend time with stories the ones we read, the ones we share, and the ones that shape who we are.
This will be a warm, community-led evening celebrating Burnleys love of reading in all its forms. Youre invited to bring along a copy of your favourite book, whether its well-thumbed, newly discovered, or simply something that means a lot to you.Throughout the evening, local writers will share spoken word and creative pieces inspired by the books and stories they love. Therell be music, space to chat, and time to simply enjoy being in a room full of people who believe in the power of words.Well also be unveiling two new pieces of artwork created with and for the people of Burnley.A series of quilted banners by Natasha Emily Lynch, made through community workshops exploring the escapism of reading, and a vibrant mural by Myro Doodles, inspired by favourite childhood books, created with local schools, young people and families.Together, these pieces tell a story of a town that reads, remembers, imagines, and creates. This is a free event, open to everyone, lifelong readers, local writers, or someone who simply wants to be part of something welcoming and uplifting.Come along.
