Mechanical Creatures

World Book Day is coming up! Bring stories, creatures and imaginative worlds to life through the magic of movement.

In this hands-on workshop, children and families design and create their own automata diorama featuring a moving character or creature.

Using simple mechanisms such as cams, dowel rods and wire, participants will explore how art, engineering and storytelling come together to create interactive pieces.

From soaring dragons and flying unicorns to favourite book characters and original creations, every automata is unique.Suitable for children aged 5-11.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
