The Armed Man : a Mass for Peace and Other Music on the Theme of Peace

The main work, The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Sir Karl Jenkins, was first performed in April 2000. It quickly became a favourite on classical radio stations and was voted Britain's No.1 favourite in the 2026 Classic FM Hall of Fame.
The concert will include Blowing in the Wind by Bob Dylan, John Lennon's Imagine, selected songs from Freedom! The Power of Song by Alexander L'Estrange, and other works on the peace theme will also feature.
Musical Director George Salmon will conduct the choir and a professional instrumental ensemble including strings, trumpets, flute, percussion and keyboard.
This is an early evening concert starting at 6pm. There will be a short interval when wine and soft drinks will be on sale (cash or card payments). End time will be approximately 8pm.
