Have you ever wondered what those intriguing looking metal attachments that came with your vintage sewing machine can do?This year we are offering 3 sessions with each one covering 2 different types of attachments to help you make the most of your vintage sewing machine.

Come to one or join them all basic sewing machine experience will be beneficial, and each workshop stands alone.

Perfect for curious beginners and sewing enthusiasts alike! The last of our three attachment sessions will focus on fabric manipulation and decoration as we learn how to use tuckmarkers and embroidery / darning attachments. We will dive to the bottom of the attachment box to help you identify tuckmarkers, embroidery / darning attachments and cover plates.

You will learn how to create beautifully consistent looking tucks which can be used to add decorative structure and function to your dress making, home furnishing or other fabric projects.

Then try your hand at stitching your name or simple shapes using free motion embroidery attachments. Please do not bring your own sewing machine.

All equipment including vintage sewing machines, attachments, thread, fabric etc. will be provided for you.

You are welcome to bring your own box of attachments to help you with identification. Please note, spaces are limited so booking is essential.
