A beautiful journey to the roots of english song - from Downland's 17thC blues to Vaughan Williams' melodic House of Life cycle, including Purcell & 20thC romantics Butterworth & Quilter, culminating in Tippet's Songs for Ariel and the premiere of Three Poems of Robert Bridges by Michael Maxwell Steer.Scottish tenor Archie Inns has been described as the freshest voice of his generation.

Now on a Masters at the RCM, where he recently sang Acis & Galatea, Archie won a major prize at last year's Oxford International Song Festival.

He & Alfred Fardell have recorded Maxwell's Neruda Songs.

Archie sings with many professional choirs such as the BBC Singers.
