Beauty and the Beast Jr - presented by Lollipop Youth Theatre

Beauty and the Beast Jr. is a one-hour stage adaptation of the classic Disney story.An Enchantress turns a cruel Prince into a Beast; to break the spell, he must learn to love and be loved in return before the last petal falls from an enchanted rose. In a small village, the intelligent Belle dreams of more than her provincial life. When her father, Maurice, is imprisoned in the Beasts castle, Belle offers herself in his place. Though the Beast is initially hostile, he and Belle slowly grow closer, encouraged by the castles enchanted staff. After the Beast saves Belle from wolves, their bond deepens. However, Belle discovers her father is in danger, and the Beast releases her to help him. Back in the village, the jealous Gaston leads a mob to storm the castle and destroy the Beast. During the battle, Gaston confronts the Beast, but the Beast refuses to kill him. Belle rushes to the castle and confesses her love just as the last petal falls, breaking the curse. The Beast transforms back into a Prince, the staff returns to human form, and they live happily ever after.This production is being performed by two separate teams.
