The Giant's Blankets

Step into the world of The Giant’s Blankets - a heartwarming 25-minute storytelling performance brought to life with swirling clouds, stormy skies, and a kind-hearted giant who helps her neighbours with nothing but her soft blue blankets.
Created and performed by artist and storyteller Claire Weetman, this soothing, imaginative tale transforms everyday fabric into hammocks, tents, baby slings - and even a giant picnic space for a joyful celebration of friendship.
After the story, families are invited to stay and play with the Giant’s blankets - inventing their own stories, characters, and worlds in this creative, open-ended play session.
Described by audiences as “magical,” “soothing,” and “inventive”, this show is perfect for curious little minds and grown-ups alike.Proud to be a partner of The National Year of Reading 2026, inspiring people to Go All In and read more.
