Friday 5 June 4 - 6pm.
This is the second part of a two part workshop.
You do not need to have attended part 1 to but a ticket for part 2.An art and story workshop with Sara Hurley and Wendy Dacre.Devon is packed full of stories from folklore, history and the present day.
Come and make a crankie about a special Ivybridge story to keep in the library.Whats a crankie?A long, moving and changing picture on paper, shown inside a box, that tells a story through images as its scrolled along.
Like slow television for digital times.Over 2 workshops you will learn about crankies and help to make one using a variety of art techniques.
Together we will create the pictures that tell an Ivybridge story. No experience is needed.
This workshop is suitable for all levels - from give-it-a-goers to artists - and is for people of all ages from 7 to 77 years old and beyond! A neighbourhood project for a neighbourhood story.Wendy and Sara tour together with their show Boxes of Delight and Scrolls of Wonder and have played at International Crankie Festivals.
They both live near Dartmoor.
Sara Hurley is a storyteller and workshop facilitator.
Wendy is a singer and crankie maker extraordinaire.Part of the Rivers and Moorland Festival
