James Davison & Callum Au: Quintet-a-Tete

The delightfully named Quintet-a-Tete is led by two highly regarded, award-winning young jazz musicians, trumpeter James Davison and trombonist Callum Au.

The emphasis is on fun, swinging, music bringing the atmosphere and vibe of 50s and 60s jazz to life for the modern day, with a focus on the repertoire of the greatClark Terry & Bob Brookmeyerquintet.Recipient of the Worshipful Company of Musicians Young Jazz Musician of the Year Award, James works with premier ensembles across both jazz and classical music styles including the BBC Big Band, London Symphony & Royal Philharmonic Orchestrasand as well as popular West End shows such as The Book of Mormon.

As well as being a fluent trombonist, Callum is also regarded as one of the UKs finest composers and arrangers, working with Quincy Jones, Jamie Cullum and Michael Bubl.
