Head over Heels

Horeshay Amateur Dramatics Society in Telford, Shropshire brings you Gail Youngs's play 'Head over Heels'.It is a poignant and funny play that focuses on "Silver Splitters"the growing social trend of couples divorcing later in life.The play follows Jill and Andy, a couple who have been married for over thirty years. What appeared to be decades of "wedded bliss" comes to an abrupt end when Andy decides to leave the marriage, sending Jill into a tailspin of heartbreak and confusion.
The story is told through a series of flashbacks and present-day scenes:The Past: We see glimpses of their early romance in the 1970s, their first dance, and the birth of their son, Danny.The Present: We watch the messy, raw, and often hilarious aftermath of their separation. As Jill attempts to navigate the legal and emotional "minefield" of divorce, she is supported by her sister, Sally, and her close-knit group of friends.
