Liverpool Sailors Church: A Poetry Picnic

Wirral Poetry Festival team member Ali Harwood will meet us in the Churchyard at 10:30am, or inside the church if the weather is inclement.

We will have a tour of the gardens and the inside of the church where we will learn about the history of the church.

Ali is an artist and a poet and will lead the day and provide writing prompts.About Our Lady and Saint Nicholas, the Parish Church of Liverpool:A church has stood on this site since the thirteenth century and the present church dates from just after the Second World War.

With its position on the Pierhead, the church has been associated with seafarers for many generations.

The Parish Church also serves the civic and business communities in the city, and today reaches out to the increasing residential population as well.

The church aims to be a place of sanctuary, prayer and worship for the whole of Liverpool.Dont forget to bring your picnic!
