Francois Cloete organThe Bar Choral Society is based in the Temple with singers drawn from across the legal system. The Society is honoured that the distinguished and much performed choral composer John Rutter CBE is our President. The choir gives approximately two concerts per year with professional soloists and orchestras - performing everything from Gabrieli to Gershwin, Byrd to Bernstein.
Join them and their musical director, Greg Morris, for a performance of Maurice Durufle's masterwork that blends Gregorian chant with a sumptuous soundworld of 20th Century France. A work of profound beauty and quiet intensity, Durufle's setting offers a deeply personal meditation on mortality, consolation and eternal peace.
