Can’t make it to the museum during our normal weekday hours?Join us at one of our themed monthly museum lates for an opportunity to explore our exhibitions after hours! These extended openings allow visitors to see the space in a unique and hands-on way! This month’s late will also include a special talk will be given by Hedvig, a placement student pivotal in the research and creation of our new exhibition In Focus: Nurse Catherine Pine.

The talk will start at 6:30pm GMT and will last around 45 minutes with time for questions at the end.Nurse Catherine Pine was the private nurse to Emmeline Pankhurst, her family, and the suffragettes.

This themed talk will allow visitors to learn about the research process and discuss how small archival pieces can be so important! It will explore how to read resources from both online and in-person archives. Some of the archives we used during our research were the British Journal of Nursing, Women’s Library LSE, and National Archives.
