"Trial by Jury" with "In Gilbert and Sullivan's Company"

Our next full PBGS show will be a double bill, featuring two shorter shows and will be performed at Woodside Hall in Hitchin at 7.45pm on Thursday and Friday 5th and 6th November and then at 1.00pm and 5.00pm on Saturday 7th November 2026.The first will be the premier of a new show called "In Gilbert and Sullivan's Company" - where we join W S Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan themselves along with original members of the D'oyly Carte theatre company as they rehearse their now-famous operettas. Find out how they navigated theatrical mishaps, a changing group of actors and an increasingly strained relationship. Featuring songs from all of their operettas, this brand new show is going to be both fascinating and fun!This will be followed by a production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Trial by Jury", but with a twist - as we will be setting it in the land of fairy-tales!
Here we find Cinderella suing Prince Charming for breach of promise of marriage, where she will of course be represented by her Fairy Godmother. However, as the judge is one of the wicked queens, there's no telling what might happen - so do come along and find out!
