Hana Chang

Hana Chang has emerged as a unique and gripping violinist and performer.

After a spectacular rise to prominence following her winning the 2023 Young Classical Artists Trust and Concert Artists Guild International Auditions held at Wigmore Hall, she was nominated as one of Classic FM’s Rising Stars of 2024.

Hana’s programme balances technical brilliance with expressive depth.

Prokofiev’s work ranges from romantic lyricism to moments of fierce intensity, whilst two Mozart sonatas written in the same year reveal sharply contrasting moods, from deep personal sadness to radiant, joyful exuberance.

The programme is completed by Faure’s first violin sonata, the piece which finally convinced his teacher Saint-Saëns that Faure was a master composer who no longer needed tuition.
