Singin'in the Rain

Wetherby Musical Theatre Group is proud to return to The Engine Shed to bring you its next big musical production: Singin' in the Rain.It has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline - the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but behind the scenes things aren't always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.Featuring classic numbers "Singin' in the Rain" and "Good Morning", the iconic "Make 'Em Laugh" and so many more, you'll be in for a treat when our cast take the stage during February half-term.Opening 16th February 2027 for six performances over four days at the fabulous The Engine Shed Wetherby, there promises to be fabulous music with a live orchestra, a hilarious and fantastic cast, and, of course, fun and entertaining dance and tap numbers!Seating will be set theatre style, with raked seating being built so you face directly at the stage. This won't be 'in the round' like our last performance, Guys and Dolls. We've also taken on board feedback from our production of Guys and Dolls, and made sure the seating isn't too close together.Singin' in the Rain will feature:Over 30 performers
