Richard Spaven has supplied the drums for many artists on stage and in the studio: José James, Flying Lotus, The Cinematic Orchestra, Guru’s Jazzmatazz, Gregory Porter to name but a few.
Last year’s album The Self explored and defied genres, from drum & bass to broken beat to dubstep and more, seen through the lens of a drummer.
The album featured Jordan Rakei, who has teamed up with him again on new record Real Time.Join us for the first full live performance of an album which has already received ubiquitous praise across the board.
Opening the show will be Kaya Thomas-Dyke .
She debuted her beautifully melancholy vocals on Alfa Mist’s 2015 LP Nocturne , on the tracks ‘Blaze’ and ‘Answers’.
Since then, they have continued their collaboration, with Kaya lending vocals to ‘Breathe’ on his acclaimed 2017 release Antiphon.
