Mariam Batsashvili - Piano Recital

Mariam Batsashvili, the world-famous classical pianist from Georgia, Europe, returns to Shrewsbury, bringing her own concert grand piano with her to St Mary's Church in the centre of the historic town.

This concert will help to raise money for fundraising to buy a world-class piano for St Mary's Church, the oldest and most beautiful church in Shrewsbury with fabulous acoustics.

Mariam will play Mozart, Schubert Chopin and Liszt.

Mariam has played in over 30 dfferent countries and became the first female pianist ever to win the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in 2014.

There will be a pre-performance interview with Mariam before the recital at 7pm.

St Mary's will be the new venue for the Shrewsbury International Recital Series which has been providing world-class classical music in the town since 2021.
