Dave McSavage Returns to Live at the Lighthouse
One of Ireland's most fearless and uncompromising comedians returns to Live at the Lighthouse this March as Dave McSavage brings his brand-new show, Pig Ignorant, to The Anchor Bar.Best known as the creator and star of the cult RTE series The Savage Eye, and more recently for his appearance on Amazon Prime's Last One Laughing Ireland, McSavage has built a reputation as one of the country's most original comedic voices. Blending razor-sharp satire, surreal observations and fearless social commentary, he's a comedian who never shies away from tackling the subjects everyone else avoids.Pig Ignorant Tour 2027Inspired by the collapsed assholes that always have and always will live among us making life shite, and occasionally unbearable.
These people justify their behaviour because they believe they're right. They're not. They're angry, and somehow that anger convinces both themselves and everyone around them that they're in the right.McSavage believes you have to fight back. Ignore them and they'll live rent free in your head forever. In Pig Ignorant, he revisits the grudges, injustices and absurd encounters that have stayed with him for decades, turning them into a brutally funny, cathartic evening of stand-up as he shines a revenge-fuelled spotlight on life's biggest idiots. With previous appearances at Live at the Lighthouse selling out, demand is expected to be high once again. Politics, religion, the media and modern life all come under McSavage's uniquely surreal microscope. Nothing is off limits and nobody gets a free pass. If you like your comedy bold, unpredictable and laugh-out-loud funny, this is one show you won't want to miss.
