Cuckoo's Choir at Britten Pears Arts - Transportation and Booking for Leiston Primary School

We are pleased to be supporting Britten Pears Arts with their Cuckoo's Choir, and are offering students the opportunity to join this high standard local singing group, led by excellent practitioners.This choir follows on from a singing opportunity held at Leiston Primary last year, involving staff from Britten Pears. The new choir will be delivered by Steph Wakeman, who the children have already met and worked with.Students will be collected from Leiston Primary at 3:30pm and transported by minibus to Britten Pears Arts. A member of the Leiston Education Partnership team, for example Mrs Gleeson, who many children already know, will accompany students to and from the choir.
The choir finishes at 5pm, and students will be returned to Leiston Primary for collection at 5:10pm. All students must be collected. No student will be permitted to walk home unaccompanied.Thanks to Leiston Primary's inclusion in the Leiston Education Partnership, membership of the choir is free. However, we do require a one off payment of 9 to cover your child's seat on the minibus for the term. This is a contribution towards transport rather than a true cost, so it is non refundable if your child later decides to stop attending.The choir is open to students in Years 5 and 6. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis. A waiting list will be run for any students who do not gain a place, and we will try to secure extra availability if demand allows.
Once a ticket is booked, this secures your child's place for transportation on the minibus on the following Fridays:
25 September 2, 9, 16 October 6, 13, 20, 27 November 4 December (9 week term)If your child no longer wishes to attend, please notify e.gleeson@kingfisherschools.co.uk so a child from the waiting list may be offered their slot.
The choir is also working towards performance opportunities, so please note your child would need to be available for the following Christmas Miracle performance dates:Rehearsal (tbc): 19th November
