Orb Piano TrioIn our Sunday Afternoon Finale we begin with the glowing piano textures of Dvoks Piano Quartet Op. 87, before Schuberts String Quintet draws us into a world of expansive, song-like lines. Brahms Piano Trio Op. 8 brings the Summer Residency to a close with rich Romantic sonority and warmth.The Wye Valley Chamber Music Summer Residency held for the first time in July 2015 takes the tradition of music making fostered at the February Festival and seeks to pass this on to a new generation of chamber musicians. A combination of coaching, rehearsal and performance, the Residency offers emerging ensembles the chance to learn from and play alongside experienced tutors, culminating in public concerts.
