Medieval Art Workshop - Being Human Festival

Are you interested in art? Curious about who's on the walls and in the windows of the cathedral? Then join us for an afternoon at Exeter cathedral for a sketch and learn workshop to explore medieval art and iconography and how it was used to convey ideas and beliefs.

We will examine different medieval religious figures and artworks - including some examples in the cathedral itself.

Then get ready to sketch and create your own iconography in a medieval style!This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK's national festival of the arts and humanities, taking place 5-14 November 2026.Being Human is led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
