Step away from routine and join us for three immersive midweek days of jewellery making for beginners. This summer school offers the opportunity to dedicate uninterrupted time to learning, making and creative focus.Designed as a mid-week retreat into the workshop, the course introduces the core techniques of traditional jewellery practice, guiding you from your first cuts in metal through to a finished piece in sterling silver.You will learn essential workshop skills, including:Saw piercingFiling and refiningAnnealing and formingTexturing and disc cutting shapesSoldering and finishingOur experienced tutors demonstrate each stage clearly before supporting you as you practise and build confidence at the bench.To begin, you will work in copper, allowing you to experiment and develop control before progressing to silver. Once confident, you will design and complete a finished piece in sterling silver — choosing to make a ring, pendant or pair of earrings.This course is ideal if you are taking your first steps in jewellery making or looking for a structured introduction to the workshop environment. By the end of the three days, you will have developed a strong technical foundation and the confidence to continue exploring jewellery making further.Please note: Stone setting is not included in this course.
