Some flags haven't changed for hundreds of years whilst others have continuously evolved because of turbulent history or politics.

Some of the simplest flags have the most fascinating stories behind them with origins traced to other countries or cultures or even attributed to god! These and other themes will be explored in the talk.

We will also explore the power of symbolism, the power of colour and shapes and why flags can create such huge emotional responses - dividing and bring people together....The presentation will be highly visual and suitable for any age group
