A week of working between two and three-dimensions, with vibrant colour and surface textures, as a means for developing abstract paintings.Students will develop their own means of responding to a large, 3D installation in the studio, and will create small maquettes of the set up using found materials.
These maquettes will provide the source for observing formal structures and colour relationships and will provide an authentic and personal means to create abstract paintings in acrylic and oil paintings.Materials and refreshments provided but please bring along a packed lunch!
