This summer, Targeted Youth Support is offering a wide range of free activities, healthy meals and enriching experiences for young people across Lancashire as part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.Whether you enjoy sports, creative arts, outdoor adventures or social activities, there is something for everyone to get involved in during Summer 2026.Who can take part?The programme is aimed at young people of secondary school age.

To be eligible you must:Be a current high school pupil, meaning: You started Year 7 in September 2025, or You have just completed your GCSEs (Year 11)Be in receipt of benefits-related free school meals (FSM)Have received your HAF voucher codeHAF vouchers for summer 2026 are issued directly to eligible families by email or text.What if I’m not on free school meals?In some circumstances, young people not in receipt of free school meals may still be eligible.Government guidance allows local authorities to use a proportion of HAF funding to support children and young people who: Are living with additional vulnerabilities or risk factors Would benefit from extra support during the school holidaysReferrals for these places can be made by schools or professionals such as social workers or the Children and Family Wellbeing Service.What’s included?Young people attending HAF sessions can expect: A safe and supportive environment A free nutritious meal each day A programme of fun, engaging activities, which may include: Sports and physical activity Music, arts and creative workshops Team-building and social activities Personal development opportunitiesThe HAF programme is designed to support health, wellbeing and positive development while helping young people stay active and connected during the school holidays.How to bookTo access the programme:Use your HAF voucher codeLog in to the www.HolidayActivities.com websiteBrowse activities available in your local areaBook your place onlinePlaces can fill quickly, so early booking is recommended.Need help or want to find out more?If you have any questions or need support, you can contact Talkzone, a confidential advice and support service for young people in Lancashire:Call: 0800 51 11 11Text: 07786 51 11 11Email: talkzone@lancashire.gov.ukAccess online via Youth Zone - Get in Touch - Lancashire County CouncilOpening times:2:00pm - 10:00pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a yearTalkzone offers free advice, guidance and support on a wide range of issues affecting young people.Get involved this summerDon’t miss out on a fantastic opportunity to stay active, make new friends and enjoy your summer holidays.
